Ok, I’m still crying over this session. This boho, sunrise elopement in Colorado was one for the books. Melanie and I were in a sorority together back in our time at the University of Iowa (granted, neither of us stayed in the sorority too long, lol) BUT that’s how we know each other!! These two volunteered to model a mock elopement for me at Roxborough State Park in Littleton, CO. I was SO EXCITED. They had the exact vibe that I was going for (super boho, stylish, fun, carefree, etc.)
We had the absolute BEST time exploring Roxborough, and they put up with some of the most ridiculous and silly prompts from us! We also borrowed this wedding dress from d’Anelli Bridal in Denver, CO when the dress we were supposed to use got lost in the mail! (Thanks USPS.) My SIL and I seriously called about 10 bridal salons when we got the notice from the company we rented the other dress from that it was lost. Not a single bridal salon picked up! It was super frustrating because we literally had 24 hours to find another wedding dress. When Celeste answered the phone I about did a backflip lol. We immediately drove over there and she gave us the most beeauuutiful dress pictured below, which was an Essence of Australia dress so you KNOW it was high quality. So HUGE shoutout to Celeste at d’Anelli Bridal! You rock! We couldn’t have done this amazing shoot without you! Also, I ordered the amazing dried flower bouquet from HBotanics on Etsy and they were amazing. 10/10 highly recommend!
Melanie and Mikey freaking KIIIIIIIIILLLLEEEEDDDD this session, and I feel like they should be professional models. I’ll never get over this session!!! boho, sunrise elopement in Colorado
