Boy do I love being an engagement photographer in the midwest. I love my home turf, and engagement sessions are some of my favorite! It’s such a wonderful way to get to know my clients before the big day. I find it’s also super helpful to actually know your photographer so there’s not some stranger with a camera showing up at your wedding!!!
ANYWAYS – I had SUCH A BLAST with Katie and Ryan exploring the Amana Colonies in Amana, Iowa! The best part? They brought along their sweet little doggo Eggsy! I also thought it was like a Pinterest inspiration dream that they brought along the cute little sign that says ‘mom and dad are getting married’ SWOOOOOON. After adventuring around for awhile we decided to grab a beer at Millstream Brewing Co. and then wrap up the session dancing and twirling at Kent Park in Tiffin, IA.
Since I posted this – Katie and Ryan tied the knot, and it was beautiful. I especially loved their reception at Ushers Ferry in Cedar Rapids!! Please check out their wedding post on the blog to read more about it and see the pics!!
