Lauren and Ted are getting married in August and I am SOOOOO EXCITED. We celebrated with the cutest little boho summer engagement session with Finn the dog in this huge grassy field right smack dab in the middle of Iowa City! I hadn’t seen them since before they booked when we had a consultation at Tin Roost! Honestly when I think back to it we had that meeting right before everything went to shit with the pandemic so it was so so good to see them again and know that they were safe and healthy!
Anywaaaays, I cannot believe how beautiful this random grassy field in Iowa City was, literally the most perfect place to run around! It was full of bugs and little prickly plants but it was so worth it. They brought along their lil baby Finn who is the sweetest, goodest boy. AND they let me know that they’re adopting Finn’s little brother!! EEEK! Who will also be attending the wedding!! The shoot was seriously so much fun (even though I was a sweaty mess) but poor Finn lost his lil green ball somewhere in the field. 🙁 We’re hoping that maybe it’ll make for a fun toy for some random fox or other animal that inevitably stumbles across it someday hahaha
I’m so so excited I got to spend some time with these two amazing people before their big day. I wouldn’t wanna be covered in bug bites from head to toe for any other reason! I can’t wait to capture their big day in August at Terry Trueblood! Yay!
