When I first met Taylor and Mat we were shooting their engagement session at Iowa State University and mannn, was it COLD. Their warm, elegant, church wedding was a welcome change to that, as the rain held off until that night when photos were over. (yay!) Everything went so perfectly, and there were so many gorgeous little details sprinkled throughout the day!!
The garter that Taylor wore was actually her mom’s, and the way that they picked different colors for the bridesmaid dress made for such gorgeous photos. Also – I swear I was SO close to crying when Taylor and Mat shared personal letters they wrote to each other before their first look, it was one of the more emotional things I’ve witnessed on a wedding day.
I’m so excited that I got to see Taylor make the transition from JohnsTon to Johnson (no T) and as her dad said, I don’t think there’s ever been a bigger gathering in history of Johnston’s and Johnson’s hahaha. I am so excited to follow along on their adventure as a married couple, and hope to work with them again in the future!
